The team at Lancashire based technology business Triscan Systems Limited is justifiably proud of recent achievements; with numerous new product launches to support its 7 Steps to Best Practice fuel cost and carbon reduction strategy, and a significant move forward in the online engagement with its customer base – it’s been no mean feat.
New developments
A number of initiatives have paid off for the fuel management specialist in recent years. A relocation tonew premises in Autumn 2008 enabled the company to provide a first class operational environment for its administrative, development and technical support teams – all of whom have really underpinned the company’s commitment to customer service excellence; a move which has helped to gain a number of internationally approved accreditations including ISO9001, Safe Contractor and most recently the Carbon Trust Standard.
New team
Having undergone an extensive recruitment programme that has resulted in a new and re-focusedaccount management team of 9 people, Triscan has also placed its faith in recruiting from local universities. The most recent is Goeun Choi (Sarah to her Friends and colleagues) who, having gained a Degree in Marketing from the University of Central Lancashire and most recently a Masters Degree in Advanced Marketing from Lancaster University was initially taken on via UCLAN’s graduate internship programme. Sarah worked on a number of projects including the company’s digital marketing strategy, liaison with the sales team and other colleagues, data management, protection and compliance and Microsoft Partnership certification and has now been rewarded with a full time position.
Sarah, who was naturally delighted at her appointment, commented “I worked really hard and had the objective of proving myself within a commercial environment following the successful completion of my studies. I enjoyed my time working with my friends at Triscan and was not looking forward to having to finish my internship programme. I’m really pleased to have been given this opportunity”.
Triscan Marketing Director Barry McLeod added “Any business relies heavily on its people and Sarah’s very high work ethic and diligent approach went down well with all of my colleagues so it was only natural that we considered her for a position within the product and marketing team. Amongst other things, she worked very well in developing our approach to using Social Media with customer communications and in the achievement of the Carbon Trust Standard”.
