Family-run transport and travel specialists, Stanley Travel, have further invested in Triscan’s fuel management solution, following the relocation of its fuel bunkering facility to enable its ever-expanding operations.
As a longstanding customer, Stanley Travel approached Triscan to replace its legacy equipment with the latest end-to-end fuel management solutions. With over 75 vehicles, which include buses, coaches, cars and taxis, a key requirement of the new system was to identify the vehicle and driver fuelling, and enable MPG figures to be calculated against the vehicle type so that those outside a performance range could easily be identified.
To achieve these objectives, Triscan implemented an integrated fuel management solution which enabled Stanley Travel to receive exception reports via email so that alerts could easily be identified without the need to manually analyse pages of fuelling data.
The turnkey project, which was completed last month, also included a 30,000L bunded diesel tank with cabinet, 2,500 L plastic bunded Adblue storage tank with 35L / min AdBlue Pump and electronic tank gauges which would enable accurate tank stock levels to be displayed within the software. A twin ATEX approved diesel pump with both high flow and low flow nozzles was installed to allow for the fuelling of buses and coaches, as well as cars and taxis.
Ian Scott, Director at Stanley Travel said:
“Stanley Travel have used Triscan’s equipment for more than 10 years, and have always been happy with the level of service received. Our recent move seemed an ideal opportunity for us to upgrade our equipment. Unlike our previous PC-based software, which could only be accessed by one member of staff, Triscan’s Odyssey World allowed us to view the software from any web-enabled device, in real-time. This means we can collect reliable data quickly and accurately from the pump, ensuring that fuel cannot be taken without being measured and accounted for.”
