“Migrating from our old system to the new Triscan system provides us with more accurate data, produced by the Triscan fuel management software which is imperative for inventory control, stock management, monitoring vehicle mpg and the reconciliation of our budget for the governments BSOG scheme. The Triscan fuel monitoring equipment can be used to monitor any liquid fuel. Reading Transport use the equipment to monitor the issue and usage of bio-diesel in their alternatively fuelled fleet of double deck buses used on the highly successful Service 17 which operates all day/all night between Tilehurst and Wokingham Road.
Using a combination of the Triscan hardware and Kisskey access methods allows our 200 plus vehicles to be refuelled securely and quickly over the two sites operated. With £8 million a year spent on fuel, it is vital that our fuel monitoring is accurate so any abnormalities can be easily spotted, as a change in mpg could equate to a massive increase on fuel expenditure.”
