Whippet Coaches have been a Triscan customer for over 20 years. They had one of Triscan’s Elite machines on site, which was originally built 20 years ago in 1999! Our Prince 2 trained project managers liaised with Whippet to organise a fast and affordable fuel management upgrade.
The Elite machine was removed from site and replaced with a brand new Apollo 2™ effectively bringing the fuel island into the 21st century.
The whippet coaches’ fleet is fitted with Triscan’s Kisskey™ On Board Device (OBD) for automatic mileage capture. The OBD is installed on the vehicle exterior near the fuel filler point. The driver touches the OBD with the Kisskey™ (which IDs the vehicle and collects mileage) then the driver touches the fuel management unit (within a set time) to transfer the data and allow fuelling.
The old tank gauge was also replaced with an electronic stock level gauge for their above ground tank. This OLE 5020 gauge enables an accurate stock level (+/-0.20%) to be displayed on the web-based software.
All of this enabled the customer to have Odyssey World fuel management software. Visibility of the web-based software is available anywhere with internet access.
