The original FuelSafe fuel management system was installed by DataTrack over 18 years ago. As the system has proved effective over the last 18 years, Colchester Skip Hire decided to do a straight replacement when their existing FuelSafe became obsolete. With over 50 vehicles using the fuel island it was essential to provide a replacement quickly.
The installation was carried out by one of The Triscan Groups engineers who was trained to handle all parts of the installation and electrics resulting in minimum downtime. The project management team had worked with Colchester to decide best placement of the kit, which in this instance was wall mounted for a tidy site and ease of use. The FIC was successfully connected to one diesel pump and one gas oil pump providing full access to the fuel island data with one piece of hardware.
The brand new FuelSafe2 hardware system is built to the latest specifications. The illuminated front-lit display provides easy around the clock use for operators. All keys can be programmed to suit individual fuelling requirements and data entry enables MPG calculation and driver name to appear automatically in all fuel reports. Used in conjunction with the existing DataTrack Supervisor software, the fuel management hardware ensures that granting drivers authorisation to access fuel, tracking fuel dispensed to each vehicle, managing inventories and recording fleet data is as simple as filling up and driving away.
