Bennetts Coaches are a family run company based in Gloucester, providing outstanding private hire solutions to group parties, schools, and businesses since 1962. They have a large fleet ranging from 16 seater minibuses to 67 seater coaches.
Bennetts Coaches have been a Triscan customer for nearly 15 years, since their original Optima was installed.
When the fuel management hardware became obsolete, they made the decision to remove the Optima and add a brand new Apollo 2™. Developed in-house, Triscan’s Apollo 2™ is one of the leading fuel management systems in the UK. Whilst enhancing the user-interface with a diagnostic indicator to assist problem-solving at the fuel island and remotely, the Apollo 2™ also integrates seamlessly with Triscan’s Odyssey World™ software. This gives Bennetts an in-depth analysis of fuel consumption by driver or vehicle and allows them to drill down to view current stock levels.
The new fuel management system was installed with a T5020 OLE Gauge for accurate tank stock monitoring.
With fuel representing one of the highest costs of running a fleet, security is paramount on the fuel island. The Apollo 2™ was installed inside the bunded tank unit behind steel shutter doors for extra security.
Alongside the new fuel management hardware, a new Hytek diesel pump at 70 LPM was installed to replace the 15-year-old Hytek Alpha that was currently on site. Following on from our project management team’s recommendation, a hose reel with 10m hose for ease of use was also installed at the same time.
With the addition of a K24 AdBlue Pulser kit the fuel island controller now successfully manages both Diesel and AdBlue usage.
