Arriva buses run across the region, with frequent services linking estates and residential areas to the town centres and to Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre.
Arriva’s fuel pump became obsolete when multiple faults arose meaning the pump was beyond repair. This left Arriva with an insufficient fuelling site at a busy time of year. Timeplan, part of The Triscan Group, have successfully looked after Arriva Gillingham’s fuel management for over 20 years so they decided to replace the obsolete pump with a new one from The Triscan Group.
The pump needed to be repaired urgently to keep the fleet running through the busy Christmas period. However, due to the supplier’s Christmas shipping deadlines, it was impossible to deliver and install their new Zeon pump.
Here at The Triscan Group we always put our customers first and go above and beyond to help where we can. Our in-house production team at our head office in Accrington, Lancashire found a second-hand C Series pump and cleaned it up so it was fit for purpose. The next morning one of our team drove the pump down to Gillingham and installed the pump to ensure the fuelling site would be operational until the New Year. All of this was carried out by our expert team completely free of charge.
In the New Year, the new Zeon 90 LPM pump was shipped to the site and installed with a new suction line and PRV’s.
